The story is set in a medival france that half its history has been wiped out so monsters and demons exist. The story follows a mysterious 14 year old boy who is on his way to knighthood, he is assigned with a furious tempered chevaleresse (female knight) who is forced to become a tutor to the squire. She disrespects him at every chance. Later on, she softens down to him and they become friends. Together they travel across Europe doing assignments for the French Monarchy. Its revealed that the squire had suffered a memory loss two years prior, he and his brother arrived to France 'From the North' as his older brother says. Heres where it gets werid. It turns out he and his older brother are actually from the future and the 'northern lands' are actually a future version of France, the older brotheer did not suffer memory loss as he had arrived to the same time through a different way of time travel. The squire was one of several patients to participate in a military experiment. All representatives keep their rue identities hidden. They come to the medieval france in secret to recover the lost history of France. To make matters even werider: When The squire and his older brother were younger, they were attacked by a poisonous demon which gave them demonic powers and a demoic form. Such details are only know by the representative from the future and the highest ruler. I was thinking of having it as a 15 book series, it would feature several story arcs too. I would try to keep most of the background history, landscapes and language as historically accurate as possible, even though I do play on suspecions and folk lore.
